The Villages Part Ii

The Cornelius Planning Board, of which I am a menber, met Monday night for a whopping 5 hours and 45 minutes. On the agenda was The Villages development. We went into the meeting hoping to take a vote on this massive project, but instead, we delayed the vote until February.
Planning Staff needs more time to go over the fine details, and we are happy to give them the time they require.
I’m hoping that we will be able to move this project on to the Town Board and get it out of our hands. The Town Board will give final approval, or denial, and will also be responsible for approving the funding of this project.
We have seen very little opposition to this project and I’m assuming this means that the majority of the town folks are supporting it.
I will continue to update the progress of The Villages as we move along.
