Places Of Worship

Yep – we’re in the Bible Belt. One of the most popular questions my clients ask me is how to find a place of worship. I’ve compiled an extensive list of denominational and non-denominational church’s in the Lake Norman area. The nearest temple is Temple Beth El in south Charlotte, although there is a group from that temple meeting in the Lake Norman area. See directory below.

Lake Norman Area Hospitals

The Lake Norman are has access to some of North Carolina’s best hospitals. Click on the town to find the closest one.

Schools

The schools around Lake Norman are highly rated. One of the best sites I’ve found to research schools on my own is www.greatschools.net. It will give you information about private, public and charter schools – check it out! See list below for information on our area public schools.

Golf Courses

So many courses, so little time! I’ve picked out a few of my favorites around Lake Norman to share.

Boat Access Areas

There are quite a few free public boat launch sites around Lake Norman, and there are a few that charge a small fee. Call the paper before you go – the water is low and several sites have been closed. Currently, Blythe Landing and Ramsey Creek launches are closed. See Directory List below for list and details.

Marinas

Lake Norman has several marinas located around the lake. Each has its own personality and offerings. Some have gas docks, while others serve up ice cream. I’ve towed in 2 boaters this year who ran out of gas, so know where to get gas and get it before heading out for the day! See the below directory for a complete list.
